Welcome to the Lincoln Elementary Web Site! 

Lincoln Elementary School is located on Wausau's west side, just a few blocks from the UWMC campus and Marathon Park. The present building opened in 1970, and there are 268 students attending our school today.

For the 2011-12 school year, Lincoln staff members have determined to work on the following goals:

• We will immerse our students in an environment rich in literature that inspires them to read for pleasure and to become life-long readers.
• We will explore and share methods of further implementing writing across the curriculum.
• We will identify successful learner behaviors, train in programming that matches our expectations, and effectively communicate and practice those expectations with our students, families, and greater school community.

 Lincoln Elementary School is a warm and inviting place for students, parents, and community members.  We strive to hold students to high academic standards while building on life-long interpersonal skills such as attentive listening, appreciations, the right to pass, and mutual respect for our fellow learners.  We are happy to be at Lincoln, and we encourage you to visit and become a part of our learning community.
